Murali Sargurupremraj
University of Bordeaux, France
Dr. Sargurupremraj completed his Bachelor degree in biotechnology in India, and Master on the narrowed down topic of “Molecular genetics” at the University of Leicester. He is especially interested in the genetics of complex diseases and the effect of environmental interactions. His Ph.D. from the Technical University of Munich was on “How intermediate quantitative traits – like cytokines can function as biomarkers in the diagnosis of early onset Asthma”.
At present, he is working on the applications of genome-wide analysis tools in associating the genetic background with phenotypes of cerebral small vessel disease and endophenotypes such as memory function. His future interests are extending the findings from genome-wide tools by studying the effect of epigenetics modifications like methylation and so on.
