Sudha Seshadri

Dr. Sudha Seshadri, MD, is a board-certified neurologist who has recently assumed the position of Founding Director of the Glenn Biggs Institute for Alzheimer’s and Neurodegenerative Diseases, and holds the Robert R. Barker Distinguished University Chair as Professor of neurology, psychiatry and cellular and integrative physiology within the University of Texas Health Sciences Center, San Antonio, Texas.

She also serves as a Professor of neurology at the Boston University School of Medicine and leads the Neurology and Neurogenetics cores within the Framingham Heart Study (where she has worked since 1998) as a Senior Investigator and PI of the Dementia, Stroke, Neuroimaging and Brain Banking Initiatives.

In addition, she leads the neurology working group within the Cohorts for Heart and Aging Research in Genomic Epidemiology (CHARGE) consortium and is a Principal Investigator in the International Genomics of Alzheimer Project (IGAP) and the Alzheimer Disease Sequencing Project (ADSP). She has over 320 publications (H index 80), serves on the Editorial board of Neurology and Stroke, has been an invited plenary speaker including at the Alzheimer Association International Conference, has mentored over 40 physicians and scientists and works to integrate clinical care and research with population and basic neuroscience, education and advocacy.
