Tobias Kurth

Tobias Kurth is a Research Director at the French National Institute of Health and Medical Research (Inserm) and the University of Bordeaux, Bordeaux, France. He is further an Adjunct Professor of epidemiology at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.

His research focuses primarily on the interrelationships between neurological and vascular diseases with a specific focus on migraines and their association with vascular factors and cardiovascular disease, genetic determinants, and consequences on brain structure and function.

Dr. Kurth is Co-Investigator of the i-Share cohort project that follows 30,000 students in France and has multiple international collaborations. He has published >200 original and review articles and is Associate Editor of Cephalalgia and Consulting Clinical Epidemiology Editor at the BMJ.

Dr. Kurth is also actively involved in teaching basic and advanced level courses and in the training of students and fellows. He is the Director of the Bordeaux International School of Population Health Sciences.
