Stéphanie Debette

Stéphanie Debette is a Professor of epidemiology and neurology at the University of Bordeaux and Inserm UMR897, and Adjunct Associate Professor in the department of neurology, Boston University, USA.

Prof. Debette is a practicing neurologist since 2006 and holds a Master degree in statistical genetics and a Ph.D. in epidemiology (2008). She obtained a Fulbright fellowship, a Chair of Excellence (French National Research Agency), and is member of a Leducq Transatlantic Network of Excellence on cerebral small vessel disease.

Recently, she received a European Research Council starting grant to study genetic determinants of early structural brain alterations in young students. She is actively involved in the Cohorts of Heart and Aging Research in Genomic Epidemiology (CHARGE) consortium, the International Stroke Genetics Consortium (ISGC), and coordinates the CADISP (Cervical Artery Dissection and Ischemic Stroke in young Patients) consortium.
